I’ve been using it for mocap sessions and, to be fair, it’s been really stable. It hardly ever crashes, even during longer takes, which I definitely appreciate. I’m just a little disappointed because I expected the overall experience to feel a bit more polished, but reliability-wise it’s been solid.

I only really used the tutorials, but they were easy to follow. I was expecting to get a little lost, because that usually happens with docs, but these were simple enough to move through without much hassle. Kind of nice when you can just read, try the steps, and keep going

I tried neuronmocap for a few body capture tests, the setup wasn’t as painful as I expected. But once I got into it, the accuracy kind of bummed me out. The feet were sliding around a lot, and the arms looked weird unless I went in and cleaned things up afterward. It’s probably okay if you just need rough blocking, but for the price, I was hoping for something that felt a lot more solid. Not totally unusable, just more cleanup than I had the patience for.

My package showed up late, and the tracking updates was barely changing the whole time. I kept checking it, but there wasn’t much info, which got kind of frustrating.

I kind of installed Neuron on a whim and was like, okay, let’s see if this actually behaves across my Windows laptop and the Mac at the studio. Surprisingly, no weird issues so far. Files transfer over without a fuss, and it’s been super helpful since our team isn’t all on the same machines.

I ran into a small setup issue and reached out to neuronmocap.com support, fully expecting it to take a day or two before I heard anything back.
To my surprise, they replied really quickly and it was clear they’d actually read my message instead of sending a generic reply. We got it sorted with hardly any back and forth, which made the whole experience way better than I expected...

I really wanted this setup to work out, and at first I was excited to use it. But after a few sessions, the hardware started giving me more trouble than I expected. Sensors would randomly drop out, I’d have to restart things, and I found myself spending too much time checking connections instead of just recording.
When everything was working, the tracking was decent, so that made it even more frustrating. The problem is I slowly stopped trusting it, especially for longer takes where I couldn’t afford interruptions. For the price, I expected something I could rely on more. Support was okay, but the gear itself just didn’t give me much confidence.

The sensors connected right away and stayed connected the whole session with no dropouts. that’s how it should work, so I was glad I didn’t have to mess around with it.
